Client:     Southern Steel Company, Controls Division – San Antonio, TX

Project description:

A complete new controls / communication system was installed in a new jail facility in Tamms, IL. The systems utilized eleven (11) GE 90-30 series PLC’s (with a combined total of over 4000 hard I/O points) connected on an Ethernet network. The intercom systems consisted of Dukane intercom boards with audio switching accomplished by the PLC’s. C&E Design provided engineering design support for the submittal requirements, as well as detailed design for equipment racks.

• Systems block diagrams for all security / communications systems
• Control room layout plans and elevations
• Equipment room layout plans and elevations
• Rack layout and/or elevations for all equipment cabinets
• Detailed PLC panel layout drawings
• Typical device wiring diagrams for all PLC-related equipment
• I/O and wiring schedules for all PLC-related equipment
• Complete PLC riser diagram including detailed rack layouts, part numbers, etc.
• Power distribution diagrams for all equipment and PLC panels
