Project description:
A complete controls / communication system was
installed in a new county jail facility in Marfa, TX. The system utilized an
Allen-Bradley SLC-5/03 PLC system for door and lighting control via a custom
graphic operator interface panel. The PLC was integrated via a serial interface
to a TOA IC-100 intercom system for call annunciation on the graphic panel.
Alarm reporting was implemented through use of a serial printer interface to the
PLC.

- Coordination of subcontract for conduit, wire
and backbox installation
- All submittal documents for approval of
control / communication systems
- Detailed design of control / power panels and
system wiring diagrams
- Generated purchase order requests and
assisted in expediting of electrical equipment
- Fabrication of PLC and power panels
- Ladder logic programming of PLC
- Development of basic module program for
serial interface of PLC to intercom CPU
- Basic module programming for printer
